12 Days in Sri Lanka

Day 1 :

Check in to your hotel in Negombo and unwind. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat tour showcasing Negombo’s highlights, including the lagoon, Muthurajawela Wetland, and the Dutch Channel. Despite its popularity as a beach destination, Negombo is rich in history. End the day with an overnight stay in Negombo.

Day 2 :

Negombo – Wilpattu

In the morning, transfer to Wilpattu and relax at the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a wildlife safari in Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest and one of its oldest protected areas, spanning 131,000 hectares. Established between 1938-1973, the park is managed by the Department of Wildlife Conservation. Stay overnight at your hotel in Wilpattu.

Day 3 :

Wilpattu – Sigiriya

After breakfast, transfer to Sigiriya. Explore the local village by TUK TUK, enjoy a traditional lunch, and visit Pidurangala Rock for a stunning sunset view. In the evening, experience a Loris-watching tour to spot the endangered Red Slender Loris. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 4 :

Sigiriya – Kandy

In the morning, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO site with stunning views. Later, transfer to Kandy and visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. Enjoy a city tour and explore Kandy’s charm. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 5 :

Kandy – Kitulgala

In the morning, relax at the hotel, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Kitulgala, with a stop at Fools Bridge. Known for its thrilling river rafting on the Kelani River, Kitulgala offers adventure in a beautiful natural setting, attracting both beginners and experienced rafters. It’s the top rafting spot in Sri Lanka, surrounded by lush landscapes and ecological wonders. Overnight stay in Kitulgala.

Day 6 :

Kitulgala – Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy thrilling white-water rafting and canyoning on the Kelani River in the morning, navigating major and minor rapids with full safety gear. Following this adventure, drive to Nuwara Eliya, visiting a tea factory and plantation en route. Nuwara Eliya, known as Sri Lanka’s tea-producing hub, offers insights into the tea-making process from plantation to brewing. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 7 :

Nuwara Eliya – Ella

In the morning, visit Victoria Park and a strawberry farm in Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy a scenic train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella in the afternoon, featuring breathtaking views of tea plantations and forests. Overnight in Ella.

Day 8 :

Ella

In the morning, hike Little Adam’s Peak, then experience the Flying Ravana mega zip line for stunning views of Ella. Enjoy a DIY lunch at a local log cabin, and in the afternoon, visit the iconic Nine Arches Bridge. Overnight stay in Ella.

Day 9 :

Ella – Yala

After breakfast, drive to Yala for a thrilling afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park, spotting leopards, elephants, and more. In the late afternoon, transfer to Mirissa for an overnight stay.

Day 10 :

Yala – Mirissa

Early morning, embark on a half-day whale-watching tour in the Indian Ocean, where you might see blue whales, dolphins, and turtles. In the afternoon, relax at the beach. Overnight stay in Mirissa.

Day 11 :

Mirissa – Galle – Colombo

In the morning, drive to Colombo, stopping en route to explore the Galle Dutch Fort, a historic monument built by the Portuguese and Dutch. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic Madu River boat safari and fish therapy in Balapitiya. Overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 12 :

Departure

Enjoy a city tour of Colombo in the morning, visiting key attractions like the Old Parliament, Independence Square, Gangarama Temple, and the Colombo Museum. After sightseeing and shopping, our driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure.
